A festival of world music was held recently in the Dom club. It's not that often now that musicians from Armenia, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan perform on one stage. Among participants of the festival some very unique artists were able to perform, in particular Djivan Gasparyan, a performer playing the Armenian duduk instrument, who started his career back in 1934 when he played in the Kremlin as a little boy for Joseph Stalin. Later he performed with the Kronos Quartet and with the Los Angeles Symphonic Orchestra.
