Sir Paul McCartney confirmed that he is in fact having an affair with photo-model Heather Mills. "Yes, we're good friends," he says, "she's really an amazing woman. We're together. But at this stage we really don't need photographers hiding in the bushes."

In April of 1998 McCartney's wife Linda died. It wasn't until October of last year that the musician finally could say that his life had "gotten a little better". That was when he met 32-year-old model Heather Mills. It happened during the record session for a charity album: Paul played the guitar, and Heather sang. Later they were seen together at a premier for the new James Bond movie as well as at other social gatherings, but refused to be photographed together, while McCartney denied that there was any involvement with his new acquaintance.

This summer, Heather Mills was supposed to marry film operator Chris Terril, but the wedding was cancelled two weeks before the scheduled date.
