Philharmonic Management Seminar

September 13 - 19 in Ekaterinburg (South Ural) takes place a seminar "Efficient Management in Academic Music". About 30 directors of local Philharmonics participate in it.

The choice of Ekaterinburg for hosting the seminar is not incidental. Local Philharmonics keeps the first place in the national contest "A Window Into Europe"? sponsored by Russian Ministry of Culture and "The Culture" newspaper.

Such a seminar is crucial for both: musicians and music lovers of our country. In times when the government has no way to cover all the expenses of academic art, it becomes a No.1 task to create a dignified and appropriate artistic and financial conditions for musicians. It is interwoven with keeping on and development traditions of popularity and prestige of academic music among broad categories of population; and building direct connections and collaboration with foreign musicians and managing organizations.
