"Tram Number 10"- that was the so-called "first Odessa concert with the Pearl Brothers." The Pearl Brothers is the name of Nikolai Rezanov's ensemble, which had made this recording in the middle of the 1970's (the group was then working at the famous restaurant "Poplavok"). During the recording Arkadyi Severnyi would repeat: "In Odessa┘" "Back when I was in Odessa┘" and so forth. Because of this, and because of the stylized "Odessa" manner of performance of the songs, quite a few people believed that the singer himself was from Odessa. They would say that Severnyi was the illegitimate son of Communist Party functionary Anastas Mikoyan, and this supposedly explained the fact that the singer was not repressed or persecuted. In short, there was quite an elaborate mythology surrounding Arkady Severnyi. The album presents itself as an example of practically authentic Odessa- type singing, which became one of the most prominent components of the so-called official "Soviet song."
