Catatonia have cancelled all their remaining UK shows - the five arena shows slated to start in Glasgow on December 5 - claiming that they are overworked and haven't had time to put a new show together.
In a statement issued today, they said: "The simple truth is that after 22 months of whirlwind success, we need a break and as a band haven't been able to put together a new show we'd be proud of... We know many people will be disappointed - for this we apologise, but feel in our hearts that this is the best course of action for all of us."
This will not, apparently, affect the band's overseas dates - they play Japan in November.
Catatonia's new UK single 'Karaoke Queen' is released on November 1.
