This just might be the King and the Joker's best album. It has an ideal sense of unity between story-telling, punk, musical comics and natural artistry (the duet of the "Pot" and the "Prince" looks very elegant on stage). Four years after the album was recorded, the music and the texts have lost practically nothing of their freshness, while many aspects of the music can still be interpreted as mass-media hits (if a video was shot and played everywhere). The evolution of the group is obvious, but the first impression is always the best- the text and the musical intonations are inseparable, and only the King and the Joker could sing them this way. Practically every track accumulates a sense of energy and scenic movement. You never get a feeling of anything primitive, something almost always associated with punk rockers. The album is a rare example of unity and artistry.
