On May 1, in an open arena in Rome there will be a gala-concert in honor of annulling the debts of Third World countries. The concert will include the participation of Pope John Paul II, the group Eurythmics, Lou Reed, Andrea Bocelli, and many others. The Pope will greet the audience, which, the organizers hope, will mostly consist of young people. The final program of the concert has not been decided upon, while several invitations are still being sent out to performers. The organizers, however, count on an audience of about half a million people.
