Last night, popular singer Ofra Haza died in a Jerusalem hospital at the age of 41. She had remained in a coma for a week leading up to her death, and had shown no signs of recovery from it. The official version establishes complications after a flu as the cause of death. Unofficial versions report that Ofra Haza was pregnant. It was believed that doctors warned that a first pregnancy at her age could be very dangerous.

The Israeli singer gained popularity after the release of her album of Yemen songs.

The funeral was held in Tel-Aviv on February 24.
