The Central Artist Hall is holding a conference entitled "The Music Industry in Russia and the CIS and Problems Concerning the Protection of Intellectual Property." The conference was organized by the company "Expo-Park Exhibits" along with the International Federation of Phonogram Manufacturers and the Intermedia information agency. The conference will be financed by a European commission.

Along with and at the same time as the conference in the Central Artist Hall, the company "Record-2000" will be holding an exhibit. According to the initiators of the project, the simultaneous holding of the conference and the exhibit will allow for a wider integration of all branches of the music business. Apart from this, the organizers are hoping that the "Record-2000" exhibit will become a yearly meeting place for representatives of the music publishing industry, songwriters and performers, record companies, production centers, design bureaus, factories, and other branches of the industry, as well as journalists and music fans. Well, we wish them luck.
