Broadway Musical based on Elvis songs

There are plans for a Broadway musical based on songs made famous by Elvis Presley, but the show will not include any version of The King himself. Joe DiPietro is writing the book for the show, which may hit the boards in 2001. The musical comedy will tell one or several stories, but none about Elvis himself. It is not known yet which songs will be included in the planned musical.
