Oasis have officially named ex-Ride/Hurricane #1 guitarist/vocalist Andy Bell as the replacement for Paul "Bonehead" Arthurs. In a statement issued by Creation Records, the band's U.K. label, on November 12, Bell said: "I'm very excited. When I got asked, it was not a difficult decision to make. Oasis have always been an inspiration. I'm looking forward to it". Bell rounds out Oasis new lineup, which now stands as vocalist Liam Gallagher, guitarist Noel Gallagher, guitarist Gem, drummer Alan White, and Bell.

The band will start a world tour in support of Standing On The Shoulder Of Giants (Feb. 28/Epic) in Japan in February.
