In three years since the Cure released their last album, 1996's "Wild Mood Swings," the band are now preparing to return with "Bloodflowers," due in stores on February 15.
The album, rumored to be their final one, was originally sheduled for a spring '99 release, but as frontman Robert Smith tells fans on the group's official Web site, "things, as ever, took longer than expected.". The album, which has been in the works since the summer of 1998, was finished in May of this year, but the band decided to hold off its release until the new millennium.
It is still unclear whether or not the band will tour to support the album.
