Музыкальное образование скрипач получил в Соединенных Штатах, окончив Джульярдскую школу. В 2001 году издал первый альбом, неоднократно номинировался на «Грэмми» и играл с лучшими мировыми оркестрами. С великим скрипачом и дирижером Владимиром Спиваковым его связывает многолетняя творческая дружба.В Доме музыки Филипп Квинт сыграет на скрипке работы самого Страдивари. He is our former compatriot, comes from a family of famous Russian musicians, multiple nominee for Grammy, whom the BBC Music Magazine called «Truly phenomenal». The musician was still a young man when he left Russia in 1991 and since then he has never given concerts in his historic homeland.Philippe Quint will play on the stage of the Svetlanov Hall of the House of Music with Russian National Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Vladimir Spivakov. The increased demands of the maestro — a world-renowned violinist — with the choice of a solo performer playing the same instrument is well known. It is more interesting to hear the artist whom Vladimir Spivakov himself invited to Moscow and earlier he many times invited to his festival in the French Colmar. In 2016 the maestro entrusted Philippe to open the 28th forum dedicated that time to the great violinist Jascha Heifetz. It is curious that a mentor of Philippe Quint in Russia was the famous violinist and teacher Andrei Korsakov who was often called «Russian Heifetz». In America Quint continued his studies at the Juilliard School in New York with the world-famous teacher Dorothy Daley who raised a whole galaxy of stars of violin art.Today Philippe Quint is an extremely in-demand artist. He regularly performs in the largest concert halls with the best orchestras and outstanding conductors, participates in prestigious festivals. Stradivari Society in Chicago in 2010 entrusted him with a luxurious instrument of work by Antonio Stradivari «Ruby» (1708) which used to be played by Pablo de Sarasate and Vadim Repin. The name of the violin was received thanks to an amazing ruby shade of lacquer. Philippe will perform solo part in Moscow in one of the most difficult works of violin repertoire on this tool. The famous aphorism of Hans von Bulova is said about him: «This is a concert not for but against the violin».In the second part Vladimir Spivakov will present his signature interpretation of masterpiece of Russian classics which is Tchaikovsky’s Fifth Symphony. «From my point of view, this is a spiritual composition» says the maestro. The Fifth Symphony is one of the most tragic works by Tchaikovsky created by him in the period of the most intense and deep thinking about the main issues of life, about morality and faith, about duty and mission of an artist, about life in work worthy of death, about the struggle or submission to fate.
