In fact it is a reissue of an "Acoustica" album published a couple years ago. Actually it was a home concert recorded in Oleg Kovriga's suite in February of 1989 - a time of Yanka 's frequent shows in both Russian capitals. To some extent it resembles a rewritten fair copy of a rough one. The content is the same, only the remark absent in "Acoustica", forestalling the final song, 'Angedonia', is restored: "There's one more song I'm going to sing... It's brand new. I've written it just recently, so forgive me if I'll go astray." Sure, she did not go astray, just a line was dropped about a junior schooler and a puppy. Played and sung clean, with a voice slightly soaring, but with the same even and wicked steady roll. The same as all the set of the songs, known by everyone - now and then - by heart; but you cannot, however hard you try, have too much of it, overwhelm yourself with listening, get full, it's just never enough. And so collecting of all the issues and reissues possible of those not numerous songs cannot be regarded as a mark of overt fan insanity. It is just the urge to become one with a magic and simple act. The divergence in the mood, in play, in intonation is oblique, you can tell the difference between albums only by the sequence of the songs, - in spite of it, it' necessary to hear it all.

Rarities are added to the whole set: alienated "Spiders in the Can"; and sung duet with someone unknown and dropped off by somebody, semifolk "It's not the wind..." - like a little gift.

Strict photo session by Kudriavtsev on digipack (wished it was a whole booklet with the full set of those interseasonal shimmering chilly pictures) is a reason to contemplate. Not just on Yanka and her songs - they are always by the hand. Just to contemplate.
