From April, 1997 to June, 1998 I had been working as a chief composer for NTV (one of the two biggest Russian TV companies). This CD contains 58 out of about 500 compositions written for the NTV channel. It turned out to be really interesting to write music for TV. It was especially important that they never asked me to make this standard TV stuff with its idiotic pomposity (sometimes they tried, anyway). On the other hand, this job helped me to realize that no music style can be anybody's private property with "no trespassing" sign. And it is very strange to hear this music which has really nothing to do with TV from any open door or window where a TV-set is on, hundreds of times a day, and to know that the audience is 100+ million people.
