The subtitle of the album reads ?most important songs.? ?White on White really is the select, perhaps even the best. Usually compilations consisting of hits (and practically all tracks on the disk are famous and have been turned into videos) are impossible to listen to because the life of hits is known to be short. Linda?s musical compositions are rather rich, and that is why every time you can hear something new even in the old, familiar songs.
The composing work of Max Fadeev is based on three main principles. The first is that all sound manufacture is portrayed with the highest detail- every synthesis in the material can be heard. The second is the melodic minimalism often having to do with the nature of the singer?s voice. The third is the harmony, frozen in time- simple, consecutive chords are slowed, but this is done very cleverly.
The album, therefore, can serve as an illustration of the development of the more progressive wing of Russian pop.
