The British group Oasis plans to broadcast its concert over the internet. This way, fans from all over the world will be able to see the performance of the Manchester band, which will take place on April 29 at the Maple Leaf Gardens concert hall in Toronto. A few days before this event, Oasis fans will be able to chat online with guitarist Noel Gallagher on the group's site, www.oasisnet.com.
A representative of the group announced that the Toronto concert will be a unique event. "This will be the first large live performance broadcast over the entire world." However, in the opinion of British magazine Dotmusic, the group's representative was a little mistaken when he said that Oasis was the first in this field. This kind of broadcasting technology was already used by the groups Cure and Bush. In Russia, the club Screen had started providing the internet world with life concerts of Sergei Letov.
Currently, Oasis is touring the US in support of its new album, "Standing on the Shoulder of Giants." The group's new single, "Who Feels Love," will be released in Great Britain on April 17.
