The St. Petersburg band "Cafe," who so far have only one hit, "Comrade Sergeant," have come out with a new album, which they presented on February 15 at the club "Bunker." This new opus by the post-hippie foursome is called "Plus 12, and is entirely dedicated to the cult "genre" themes that include topics such as hitchhiking, pot-smoking, brief encounters with groupies, and, of course, happy and unhappy love.
What is striking is the amateurish level of the arrangements, simple lyrics, and most of all a complete ignorance of the audience. It seems that "Sergeant" was a success by chance, and it is doubtful that it can be repeated.
