Metallica will stream its entire album on the Internet for several days before its scheduled release. The band together with its label, Elektra Records, have aligned with more than 300 Web sites, radio stations and retailers to provide exclusive, song-by-song access to "S&M, Metallica With the San Francisco Symphony Conducted by Michael Kamen", which is to be released Nov. 23.

''S&M'' features 20 songs recorded April 21 and 22 with the San Francisco Symphony and its conductor Michael Kamen. Metallica has performed with Kamen on the ''Nothing Else Matters'' edit from Metallica's self-titled 1991 album.

"S&M" will stream on the Net beginning Nov. 19. Online listeners will be able to listen to a track as many times as they want, whenever they want, during a seven-day period.

The promotion will be offered through Elektra.com, Metallica.com, MTV.com, Entertaindom.com, UBL.com, and some online retail sites.

Metallica will represent their classical concerts Nov. 19 at Germany's Berlin Velodrome with the Berlin Symphony, and Nov. 23 at New York's Madison Square Garden with the Orchestra of St. Luke's.
