This is probably the very first Russian hard rock album. Recorded in 1980 within one day at home studio, it made a history and turned Kruiz into heroes of Soviet rock scene. Indeed, playing hard rock was a heroic act because of strong anti-rock campaign strenghtened by Soviet bureaucracy in those times. Reached its audience in lowest-quality unathorized tapes, the album was digitally remastered and released on CD only in 1996.
Hard rock by Kruiz is simple -- perhaps too simple -- rather in black-sabbath fashion than in led-zeppelin one. No vocal extravaganzas, no guitar escapades -- just heavy beat, plain melodies and somewhat indistinct lyrics. But the energy of band matters more, and it is definitely the band's strongest side. Such tracks as Top Spinning, Don't Trust Silence or Yet Somebody Must Do just confirm it.
Nowadays it's so easy to under-estimate this album -- but let's remember what it originally was, listening to this music with all respect it deserves.
